May Wrap Up

I know.  I leave some of you waiting in slight annoyance.  It's summer, so anything Mamma wants to do is just not priority.  I try to change that every day, but haven't found a solution that's foolproof.  Let me know if you have tips.

May was fantastically busy.  Where do I start?

These girls keep Dara & I on our toes baby.  They'll be separated for Kindy next Fall.  We don't think they know quite what that means.  The other little love is Molly's cousin.

We were totally surprised this Spring with the life that erupted from our new earth.  THESE gems were outstandingly spectacular.  Not so much now, but I breathed them in for a couple weeks.

Trader Joe's Peonies blessed our family this Spring.  They were the size of my face friends.  And they changed color 3x over a 2 week period.  Stunning.

A happy Summer fun package was my feeble attempt to pretend to be super pumped about summer break.  They bought it. Maybe.

Our new hood is proving to be the exact quadrant of the earth God wanted us to land.  The neighbors are fun and fancy free, the pool and swim team has brought smiles and early bedtimes, the cul-du-sac parties have provided tons of connection, and our across the street neighbors have become family.  It's hard to imagine we didn't know them just 7 months ago.

THIS is happening.  I'm secretly willing her to fall a lot so we can hang on to the last training wheels in the family for a while longer.  Falling without major injuries of course.

I've dreamed of Poppies in my yard for years and for some reason never planted them.  Surprise!  Unfortunately, I ripped one plant out as an infant thinking it was a weed.  These beauties are no weeds.

Neighborhood birthday party at the skating rink...we won't talk much about this outing.  It wasn't the best.  Will we go back?  No, we will not.  And it didn't help that while aiding one of my children as they plummeted to the ground, I dropped my camera and it busted. Thus the phone pictures below.
