Schools out. We have a 1st grader and a 5th grader and they are rather enjoying their summer. Swim team has provided daily structure and weekend accomplishment, camps are keeping them occupied and Mama sane, the backyard hose is getting worked, sunscreen bottles are running low, popsicles are plenty, bed time comes late, play dates come one after the other after the other. Summer is quite the blessing round here.
Kindy graduation. This little love will start 1st grade at a new, Christian school in the Fall. We're excited to watch her continue to bloom. Below was her face when Daddy surprised her and showed up for her book reading. He holds her heart.
Front porch happy.
Just because her facial expression require visual documentation.
Swim team in our hood has proved to be epic. Both kids are participating in practices and meets. Dude has completed all his races, could care less about what place he takes, and continues to try new strokes each week. Strangers and friends cheer him on in full force, he smiles as he backstrokes, and gives it his fullest go. We're so proud of him and little sis.
Neighbor time is a daily ritual. Watching these littles grow up is such a privilege.
Summer time also means we just might take a nap here or there.
Happy summer to you and yours. Soak it in.
