Stars and Stripes

The 4th has become a favorite around here.  We parade through our park with our neighborhood posse, play at the playground, toss water balloons, throw eggs at each other, and eat Popsicles at 10:00am.  We then head to our pool for a day of volleyball, stuffing our faces, swimming until our kids literally crash, unable to move or stop crying, and head home.  This year Dude was in Chicago at Camp Nana and Papa.  We ended the day at a private park viewing of some local fireworks and she proceeded to fall fast asleep on my lap the MINUTE before the crash, bang and booms commenced.  We couldn't wake her up.  Pinching wasn't even successful.

Our smallest parade to date, but neighbor man, Cliff, brought a bounce house from his work, which was a total treat for the littles.

I do quite enjoy watching my man play volleyball.  He's quite the attractive athlete in my humble opinion.

Happy birthday USA.  Looking forward to celebrating you again next year.
