It still stands that Halloween night is one of Dude's very favorite times of the year. Partially because he gets candy, but mostly because he gets to dress up and go talk to random strangers and make himself at home on their front porch. He chats with them, talks about whatever happens to be running through his mind at that particular moment, pets their dogs, wishes them a "Happy Halloween" and moves on to the next house. Oh, and he gets to ring doorbells. A lot of doorbells. A lot of times each.
On Sunday afternoon we went to a mini neighborhood picture party with the hood kids. We try to do this every year so we can get shots of all the little monsters in costume. Here they is!
Squirt transformed into a darling, oh so darling, elephant girl.
Come on. Just look at that little elephant face.
And that darling face. If we allowed him to, he would wear this aqua dino suite every minute of every day.
We didn't put her in costume for day care, but figured a tutu is costumy enough. Thanks to Grandma Kim from church for this little black and pink gem.
Halloween night turned my little man into the most handsome knight in town.
The hottest tie dye, shade wearing big dude in town.
Our neighbor made quite the impression on Dude and his bud, Holden.
Lins, the sweetest little bee you ever did meet.
They kinda fought over who got to ring the doorbell at each house.
Our trick o' treatin' chang gang.
Our friends have the "spookiest" house in town. Dude insists on walking down to visit the big spider a few times per week. You can imagine his disappointment now that Boris the spider is gone.

Very cute. Looks like you guys had a great time. Glad you didn't come over to Oma and Opa's and catch the the bug we all had. Looks like it's gone through all of us. And, now that v-ball is over, let's hang out!
