Last Chicago Installment

We're almost done with documenting our Chicago get away.  Couldn't leave out our last minute trip to the Warp's pad.  Tim and I were supposed to drive to MI to see our grandmas, but got snowed out and didn't think it was wise to battle a blizzard along the lake.  Bummer, as we were PUMPED to spend 6 hours in a car together, without little voices in the back and we were really looking forward to spending time with our Grandmas.  But in exchange, we did get to see the Warps and I got a pedicure date with one of my childhood besties, Erin.  We ended the trip with Nana and Papa and dinner out at one of our favorite suburb spots, Grapevine in LaGrange.  I always think "dinner out" is going to be so charming and romantic.  It's  not.  But Dude got to watch trains go by, so that was somethin.

Nana always has innovative and educational toys and activities for the kids.  And for herself.

 Love this.

 Dude in a box.

Enter our Warp visit.  They're expecting their 3rd dude/ette.  How cute are these kids?

Naked on leather.  Can you think of anything better?

Squirt was enthralled to find a grown man who shares her affinity for nose picking.

I can't even summarize how much this shot makes me want to squeeze her.

Mom and Dad bought all the grand kids these rad chef hats.  Our Hudson is rather priceless, especially in a chef hat.

Tub time in Nana and Papa's sink.  This girl loves water, no matter where it is.

Kira sent her pictures this afternoon, so I have to share.  This shot melts me.  It's the epitamy of Nana time.
