Beachin' It

Our annual summer trips to the Midwest are a highlight of the year for our brood.  The above shot is evidence of why.  We sure do miss massive bodies of water out here in our beautiful land of mountains and rivers.  We lucked out with 2 really great beach days before the weather turned Fall like.  The waves were "totally awesome" as one 6 year old explained.

Look at that little head.  Surprisingly, this didn't freak him out.

Carin and the kids came for a day.  The kids had a blast out in the waves.  We sure do love hanging out with our cousins.

And then there's Dad sea doo time.  Dude's very favorite.  And Dads too.  The highlight for our little adventurer is always "scaring the poop out of the sea gulls."

The wind was so fierce the last day we were at the cottage that "hanging" on the beach wasn't all that enjoyable.  But the waves?  That was a different story.  My parents came for the afternoon and Tim and my dad spent hours frolicking in the undertow.  I kept walking down to make sure they were still alive.
