Dude's 3rd Annual Auto Show

My hubbie adores nothing more than automobiles (well, most days he would probably say Dude and I rank above car related activities, but some days I would say it's a toss up). He continues to impress me with his knowledge of all things car. Naturally, the Auto Show is a must do activity for our little fam each and every year. Dude has been blessed to attend this automobile showcase extravaganza and be surrounded by cars, trucks, vans, semis and trailers of every size, shape, color, make and model every year of his short life. The first 2 years, Pappa has joined in the the blessing and last year Nanna even took the plunge. This year it was just the three of us, but we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hours in the midst of car heaven.

Dude picked two cars that he loved most. The first was the orange Audi R8 below. He jumped out of his stroller, started rubbing his hands around the shiny orange surface, telling everyone around him that this was his "favorite race car and it was coming home to Wylan's garage to-NIGHT!" The second was a black BMW M3, decked out for racing. Mmmm...Daddy took quite an interest in this one too, so maybe there's hope for a father-son hobby down the road. Dude hugged it a lot, saying it was his "very favorite car at the car show." It did have pink numbers on it, but we'll pretend that didn't play a role in his favoritism.
One of dude's highlights was hangin' with the big blue bear outside the convention center.

We had a fantastic balmy weekend round here. Side note...soccer game #2 was a smidge better (in part). Dude did great during practice...took his turn, followed direction, kicked the ball, learned how to dribble the ball (at a snail's pace) and seemed to be enjoying himself. Until it came time to start the game. Then he wanted "butter jelly" (at 9:30am) and wanted nothing to do with running up and down the field. And so he sat on the sideline with me asking if we could go home and talking about all the foods he was craving. We need to leave room for progress right? We certainly have room.

The Tims stood in as substitute coaches this week. Excellent job boys. Excellent job.
