A Cousin for Reagan & Dude

As if this past 5 days haven't been thrilling enough, we got word this morning that our new nephew, Chase, entered the world around 2:00am in Chicago. Tim's brother Nick and his wife Caylei were due toward the end of February, but shes been on bed rest. Labor started naturally yesterday evening and they ended up doing an emergency C-Section after she dilated from 1 to 9 in half hour. Long story short, Chase and Caylei are both doing beautifully and are healthy and happy. Chase will be in the NICU for a bit to be monitored, but he weighs 5lb 13oz, which is a perfect weight for an early babe. We're so pumped that Reagan and Chase will grow up together...and only 3 days apart. God is so good. And the coolest part is that Tim's mom was able to see Chase and get to the airport to come to Denver a few hours later. She's with the dude now at home. Oh how I love grandparents.

The next bit of happy is that our little squirt allowed us 8.5 hours of heavenly sleep. Granted, our slumbering was interrupted every 3.5 hours for bottle time, but that's okay by me. We're both feeling fantastic today...worked out, went for swim and hot tub dip, ate some lunch and now we're waiting to hear that our paperwork is approved. We're close! Denver has it and is in the midst of processing everything. Tomorrow might be the day.

Not much else to report.  This hotel room has been real nice, but home would sure be great.  It's kinda sad that no one has met little Squirt yet (this is going to be her blog name, by the way...Dude approved).  She's ready for the parade of visitors!  But be patient with us...we need to mentally get out of this hotel room first.  Hopefully next time I post we'll be at that point!
